CyanogenMod 7 Released / Stable for Nook Color!

CyanogenMod 7 is now officially released and stable for Nook Color (Encore) users!  I've updated my detailed installation guide accordingly, so go install it!  If you already know what to do, download it directly from the Team Douche mirrors.

New features include a simplified / clearer status bar, now located at the bottom of the screen, addition of a button in the status bar to pop open/closed the notification list, and optionally keeping the status bar visible even for full screen apps, so you won't need a third-party program like Button Savior.

  1. Hello there! Not a week has passed since my last install and then we now have CM7 stable! Gotta love them devs! They really put in some mighty effort on this. This has almost everything more or less perfect and Tablet Tweaks is just fantastic! Not sure if it’s me but somehow these are the few little annoyances I’m still getting:

Dock (stock ADW) randomly disappears or the shortcuts in dock mysteriously vanishes.
Gallery won’t update unless I force it with Media scan.
Live wallpapers are not playing nice, glitchy and FCs.
Pulse app FCs all the time.

Wow! Is that all? Really scraping the barrel trying to find issues with this release lol! Just that it’s so damn near perfect that you want nothing but 100%.

BTW, when my NC is shut off and I plug it in to charge, it boots up. Is this a bug?

  2. The Dock/ADW issues I’ve seen as well, usually it thinks I held my finger down too long on an icon in the dock so it makes it drag-able. And then even if I drag it back onto the dock when I next reboot the item is just gone. I’ve learned when this happens to place the item on the desktop, then on next reboot place it back in the dock; annoying but it solves the problem. I haven’t used gallery much, I use the app given in my apps list. Live wallpapers works fine for me. And I only started seeing a few pulse FC errors since the stable release of CM 7, but haven’t actually seen those in a few days now. I still get gapps/framework FC errors, a couple a day. As for the NC power on plugin, yeah, I think that’s just the way the device or CM 7 works.
